New Jackson in Manchester is having a full scale seasonal takeover. Think curling lanes, lively bars and a packed line up of DJs and performances. The Curling Club comes to Manchester this November as part of the growing winter events schedule. Have you ever wanted to try curling but don’t feel like heading to a mountain or an ice rink? Well, now you can, just head down to Deansgate instead.

These purpose built curling lanes can be booked for half an hour or hour long sessions, plenty of time to learn the basic techniques before gathering your teammates and settling into a friendly competition. First timer? Wouldn’t it be great to learn the ropes from an Olympic gold medallist? Well, you can! Former Team GB curler and 2022 Olympic gold medallist, Eve Muirhead, will be on hand to help guide any curling virgins and offer tips to improve form and strategy. You can’t get more professional than that. With the set up, equipment and scoring system closely resembling the real thing, your competitive side might just creep out.

The Curling Club - Street Food
The Curling Club

A variety of street food from local vendors, fresh and tasty and guaranteed to keep you warm and well fuelled.

And it is not all about the lanes, no no no. There’s the food and drink still to talk about. We all know the best part of skiing is the après-ski bars, curling is no different. These après-ski styled bars will be serving up winter inspired cocktails, mulled wine, and beer of course. Also available in this alpine-esque venue, a variety of street food from local vendors, fresh, tasty and guaranteed to keep you warm and well fuelled.

The Curling Club - Evening Event
The Curling Club

Dancers, DJs and themed nights, shifting the mood from relaxed daytime games to an energetic evening crowd.

The programme laid out for the venue’s three month stay in Deansgate is filled with dancers, DJs and themed nights, shifting the mood from relaxed daytime games to an energetic evening crowd. Designed for groups, work gatherings or anyone interested in trying a sport that will no doubt bring out friendly rivalry and probably a lot of laughter.
