As part of Dunham Massey’s Women in Words weekend poetry festival, Manchester poet Shirley May, director of Young Identity Writing Collective and visiting Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Manchester Writing School, is running a creative writing workshop inspired by objects from the collection at Dunham.

Earlier this year, Shirley was chosen as one of Manchester’s 100 Inspirational Women, so she’s the perfect choice to lead this workshop, reflecting on women and power in 2018. Materials will be provided, and entry to the house and garden is included in the price of your ticket, so you can make a day of it!
