Artist Horace Lindezey is back at the National Festival of Making this year, with a solo exhibition We Are Gathered Here Together.

This year’s edition focuses on Art in Manufacturing, the headline commissioning programme for artists, giving them the opportunity to make brand new work in and alongside the country’s major manufacturers. Lindezey’s work focuses on moments of ceremony, whether it’s birthdays, weddings or christenings, informed by observations of the people around him, often his family. He works in ceramics, textiles and illustration.

For his show which is the result of a residency with The Making Rooms, Lindezey invites viewers to step into his world. New works are shown alongside his best known pieces, produced at Venture Arts Studio over the years.

A conversation with the artist will take place on Sunday 7 July at 3pm, where he’ll talk about his work in detail, describe some of the techniques used to produce the new commissions and the themes he keeps coming back to. You can find out more on the Festival’s website.
