UpClose: Hugo Ticciati – Spiritualism and Minimalism at Manchester Cathedral, Cathedral Quarter 31 October 2017 Tickets from £15.00 — Book now

Manchester Cathedral’s open and cavernous space provides the perfect, atmospheric setting for this UpClose event themed around ‘Spiritualism and Minimalism’.

Violinist Hugo Ticciati approaches music holistically, incorporating themes of literature, philosophy and meditation within his performances. Here, he will combine with London-based Clod Ensemble, a company who specialise in visual theatre, to tackle Vasks’ Distant Light concerto, Arvo Pärt’s Silouan’s Song, written for string orchestra, and In Memoriam Benjamin Britten, as well as Haydn’s ‘Farewell’ Symphony.
