Festival No. 6

The No. 6 Academy at Portmeirion, 7 — 10 September 2017 Tickets from £35 — Book now

It’s not all hedonistic adventures (although there are plenty of those to be had too) at Festival No.6 as an impressive programme of creative workshops and lectures in association with Guardian Masterclasses enables festivalgoers to expand minds and future horizons. Experts from across the world are heading to Portmeirion to deliver sessions on how to write a short story, be an illustrator, publish your first book, be a festival photographer, make beer and even change your life.

There are Welsh creative writing, poetry and language classes and talks from experts on the psychology of love and the meaning of friendship. Find out everything you wanted to know about leading cultural figures such as  Dylan Thomas and Bob Dylan in a series of mini lectures then let loose in Lindy Hop and Northern Soul dance classes.

There must be fewer more beautiful places to learn.
