Nardus Williams SOPRANO

BBC presenter Petroc Trelawny makes a welcome return to the Hallé, joining conductor Stephen Bell and two superb soloists for a night of Movie Classics, broadcasting from The Bridgewater Hall.

From pirouetting hippos and the high-kicking chorus line of can-can dancers to the sweeping plains of Africa and the devastation on the beaches of Dunkirk … the music of Ponchielli, Offenbach, Mozart and Elgar accompany these memorable cinematic moments. The full forces of the Hallé will reveal these and many more sensational soundtracks as they celebrate classical music on the silver screen.

The concert will be streamed on Vimeo at thehalle.vhx.tv, and tickets are available to purchase via the Hallé’s website.
