No matter how well you think you know Didsbury, there are hidden histories, fascinating buildings, and lots of local personalities that you almost certainly won’t know on this walking tour with Jonathan Schofield Tours.

It’s not hard to see why this Manchester suburb is so sought after. It blends village charm with urban convenience and a vibrant community atmosphere. It boasts gorgeous historic buildings alongside a whole network of trendy, independent hospitality and retail businesses. And it has some of the most beautiful green spaces in all of Greater Manchester.

Hidden beneath the surface of all this are stories. Lots and lots of stories. From screen-worthy romances to notorious murderers via whole potato-swallowers and eccentric aldermen, Didsbury has the lot. All will be revealed by Jonathan Schofield Tours.

This tour takes you from the old station area close to the lovely Carnegie library down to Fletcher Moss and then onto The Towers. Along the way you’ll learn about many remarkable buildings, including some shining examples of Edwardian and Victorian architecture as well as a few more curious entries.

Your knowledgeable and experienced tour guide will also reveal a rich tapestry of history lurking beneath these places, some surprising facts, and – being a Jonathan Schofield Tours – probably a few gags, too.

Think you know Didsbury? Think again.
