A staple in the Everyman’s programme, we’re thrilled that Liverpool’s legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll panto returns for another rocking and rolling sell-out success. With a brand-new creative team at the helm, this year’s Rock ‘n’ Roll panto is a fresh take on the classic story of Red Riding Hood.

Outlandish, sparkling and packed to the brim with musical hits, a trip to the Everyman’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto is a huge festive tradition for families across Merseyside.

For 2022 a new multi-award-winning team have joined forces to make the story of Red Riding Hood as cool as it can be. Writer Peter Rowe, who has penned 11 record-breaking Rock ‘n’ Roll pantos, returns to Liverpool after 25 years having previously been the artistic director at the Everyman, and more recently at Ipswich’s New Wolsey Theatre. Directed by Suba Das, the impressive creative team is completed by choreographer Lucy Cullingford, sound designer Ian Davies and costume supervisor Jacquie Davies.

There will also be a British Sign Language performance on Wednesday11 January, a captioned performance on Saturday 14 January and two audio-described performances on Thursday 12 January.

With a super reputation year after year, early booking is highly recommended for the Liverpool Everyman’s Christmas production. Packed with singalong anthems, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto is recommended for ages 4 and up and promises to be a cracking seasonal extravaganza.
