Led by the charismatic frontman Nick Cave, the Australian eight-piece are touring their 16th studio album, Skeleton Tree, which topped the charts in eight countries. In the UK, the record gaining the band their highest ever position – entering at second – so it’s no wonder that this eight-week-long European tour, their first in three years, kicks off with five large-scale shows in the UK.
Skeleton Tree‘s released last September was marked by the premiere of One More Time With Feeling, a documentary feature film about the making of the album, directed by Andrew Dominik. Both the documentary and album have received critical acclaim – with the latter going on to sell more than 60,000 copies in the UK.
