Musician and left-wing activist Billy Bragg will deliver a short and vital polemic at Manchester Central Library based on his new book, The Three Dimensions of Freedom, which addresses the need to protect ourselves from the growing threat that authoritarians and algorithms pose to democracy.
The event will mark the opening of Peterloo 2019 – a major two-month-long programme of over 150 art, performances, events, screenings, workshops and talks taking place across the city to commemorate the 200-year anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre.
