Góbéfest, is one of Manchester’s most anticipated festivals each year. Bringing the best of food, music and dance culture from the Carpathian Basin to central Manchester this festival is all about passion and celebration.

Over three days you can watch a lovingly curated mix of bands, solo artists, folk dance, choirs and instrumentalists from Central and Eastern Europe. What’s particularly brilliant about Góbéfest, is the combination of internationally recognised artists alongside more local community groups. Be prepared to witness Chorlton Balalaika orchestra sharing the same stage as Bulgarian powerhouses TK Ripni Ka.

Independent food stalls provide everything from giant pans of goulash to lángos, and Transylvanian barbecued chimney cakes. All this deliciousness can then be washed down with Hungarian wine and cocktails.

Throughout the weekend you can also find free activities to enjoy in the family tent including dance workshops, arts and crafts and storytelling. With expert facilitators fuelling the fun you can be sure to learn something new as well as having a great time.

For the full lineup check the Góbéfest website. However, we also recommend just rocking up to the festival with an open mind and experiencing something totally new.
