Richard Goodall Gallery, 59 Thomas St, Manchester, M4 1NA – Visit Now

Album artwork might, these days, only be seen as the tiny image in the bottom corner of iTunes, but big rock poster art has never been more popular. And there’s no better place in the country to find and buy examples of music-oriented illustration and photography than the Richard Goodall Gallery. These are artworks in their own right – perfect for making your living room look achingly cool – and they come ready framed.

The gallery is a long-term Northern Quarter resident, purveying prints and posters from Thomas Street for 10 years, with a second space opening round the corner on High Street in 2007, and described by the gallery’s Mark Powell as being “more like White Cube”. Here you can expect to find higher-end contemporary art, photography and sculpture, although still with a musical edge.
