Ramona and The Firehouse, 40 Swan St, Manchester, M4 5JG – Visit Now

As Manchester gears up for the festive season, Ramona is partnering with its neighbour venue The Firehouse to provide something special for the people of Manchester. A kaleidoscope of fairy lights greets visitors at their new winter village with their signature firepits to keep you and your friends warm and set the mood. Bordering the Northern Quarter, Ramona is a must-visit location to celebrate the run-up to Christmas with great food, drink and company.

Here, you can tuck into hefty slices of Ramona’s iconic Detroit-style pizza, or warm-up with mugs of mulled wine. During these cold winter nights, nothing eases the freeze quite like a fresh slab of their focaccia laden with toppings. Dig into a generous serving of their Cali Pepps with burrata and hot honey, or their take on pepperoni pizza using their unmissable Detroit Sauce. Even their basic Margherita slices are a cut above the rest.

You’ll be able to wash down your meal with a little help from their dedicated Margarita Bar, with many options featuring the great El Tequileno Blanco. Looking for shots? Ramona has a great twist on the classic slammer: rather than the typical combination of salt, tequila and lime, here, you’ll get no less than two shots as at the winter village, tequila shots are accompanied by “verdita”, a green mouthful of fresh flavours, with Mexican origins. But of course, the standard drinks menu has enough to tick everyone’s boxes.

In the season to be jolly, Ramona and the Firehouse Winter Village is a slice of heaven. In 2021, pizza may well the new Christmas staple.
