Summer Menus in Manchester

Ian Jones, Food and Drink Editor

Manchester has a wealth of restaurants, catering for whatever kind of cuisine you could possibly desire. But to misquote Morrissey, some menus are more summery than others. We’ve collected all the best summer menus in the city, whether they’re providing a whole new range of dishes, especially for the hotter months – though recent weeks have felt more like a tropical storm than a classic British summer – or were custom-built to be at their best when the weather’s warm.

We have everything you need here. From high-end tasting menus, to fantastic tapas options, to classic English cuisine, and even taking in Italian food (courtesy of one of the UK’s best former Premier League footballers) and, er, sausage and mash. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll no doubt find it here. And it’s not all for those with deep pockets either, there are plenty of affordable options, particularly if you’re looking for a light lunchtime bite to eat.

These are just some of the highlights of the constantly-growing summer food scene in Manchester. Try them all. Trust us, you won’t regret it.
