Cinthia Baseler

There is a Crack in Everything: An Exhibition by Cinthia Baseler at Old Bank Residency, Manchester 5 July — 2 August 2019 Entrance is free

There is a Crack in Everything by Cinthia Baseler at The Old Bank draws upon the ideas of philosopher Marshal McLuhan to investigate photography’s ability to self-reference as a medium. Borrowed from a Leonard Cohen song, the show’s title refers to the visual phenomena of ‘light leaks’ – an occurrence central to the concept of this exhibition, but which is usually considered a technical flaw.
