There’s another whirlwind adventure waiting in the wings of the Cockpit Theatre at Shakespeare North Playhouse this festive period. Get ready to head to the English countryside with Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger when The Wind in the Willows comes to Prescot.

Bringing all your favourite characters and lots of charm, Kenneth Grahame’s classic story has been wonderfully adapted for the stage by Toby Hulse. When Mole forfeits his seasonal cleaning chores for the lure of the luscious riverbank, he has no idea of the thrilling (and slightly chaotic) journey that he and his friends are about to embark on.

A funny, timeless tale of friendship, courage, consequences and bravery, The Wind in the Willows features live music and a talented company of actor-musicians. A heart-warming treat for the whole family, before normal routine resumes in January.
