This summer holiday, go on your jollies to a resort with a difference – the Grand Bug & Pest Hotel Hunt at RHS Garden Bridgewater, a delightful family trail aimed to engage and educate visitors of all ages about the importance of insects and other small creatures, while also having a fun adventure – complete with a trail map and a list of challenges along the way!

Lloyd and his friends are eagerly anticipating their upcoming summer holiday, but there’s just one small problem – Lloyd can’t seem to remember where the hotel is located! Join them for an exciting adventure as they embark on a quest to find the hotel and explore the garden, searching for characters like Lloyd, his little sister PB, his best friend Abacus the woodlouse, and Cornea the butterfly, with the help of a special augmented reality app designed by Aardman. With this app, you can “shrink down” to the size of a fly and see the world from the perspective of an insect.

Immerse yourself in the world of mini beasts with a hands-on animal encounter by Zoolab, where you’ll get to meet some incredible creatures. Enjoy a mini-musical adventure and interactive storytelling that will captivate your imagination, and little explorers – don’t miss the muddy and rather messy welly walk! (Parents – take note – change of clothes required!).

Love getting creative? Try your hand at model making and animation in an exciting Aardman workshop, where you might even get to take home your very own character!

Complete the Grand Bug & Pest Hotel Hunt family trail at your own pace. Stop for picnics, outdoor play and more as you walk through the luscious green grounds of the garden. And once the trail comes to an end, you can still enjoy the amazing scenes around you. Make the most of the accessible baby-friendly facilities, the cafe filled with delicious food, and the wonderful areas to stroll and play.
