Leeds libraries are celebrating pride month with a wonderfully queer poetry workshop. In Out Loud you’ll explore the history of queer poetry before turning your had to creating your own poems. You’ll be invited to contribute your work to the ever growing zine library building up a modern day account of LGBTQ+ experiences in Leeds.

The workshop will be led by Natalie McKiddie a Leeds based poet and community organiser. Through a supportive, relaxed and informative workshop you’ll learn about work from greats such as Sappho, Audre Lorde, and Oscar Wilde, before being guided through writing exercises and prompts to reflect on the place of poetry in the expression of LGBTQ+ identity.
