Cultureword’s National Black and Asian Writers Conference is a focal event in the literary calendar celebrating Global Majority creatives and exploring trends and pertinent questions in the industry. The conference provides a unique opportunity for writers of any age and background to learn, debate and network. This year’s conference is taking place at Hack Oldham and will include panels, stalls, performances, interviews, conversations, and a Draft Night. Panels will cover: Oldham’s writing scene and futures, Global Majority LGBTQ+ futures, how Black and Asian writers can respond to environmental challenges & climate change, as well as ‘How to Get Published’ for new and emerging writers. Drop in throughout the day – open to all.
