On 25 July, The White Hotel loads the booth with serious weight, as four of the scene’s most uncompromising figures bring a night of industrial techno, electro and scorched circuitry.

Dax J’s journey from pirate radio junglist to international techno heavyweight is well documented – and for good reason. He’s a force behind the decks, drawing on years spent in the UK’s rougher corners to craft sets that are fast, fierce and precision-built for warehouse catharsis. From Berghain closings to BBC Essential Mixes, he’s built a reputation that rides on intensity – and the kind of marathon endurance that turns a rave into a reckoning.

Equally formidable is Helena Hauff, a selector with a punk soul and a record bag full of acid, EBM, electro and misfit techno. Her sets are fast, feral, and heavy on analogue voltage – she still hauls records around the world, refusing to compromise on rawness or risk. A former Golden Pudel resident and Ninja Tune affiliate, she’s headlined Dekmantel, dropped an era-defining Essential Mix, and released some of the most bracingly alive electro in recent memory. If it sounds like it’s shorting out a power grid, it’s probably Helena Hauff.

Joining them is Kerrie, whose dark, metallic strain of live techno has earned her a Tresor residency and releases on Blueprint and Don’t Be Afraid. A long-time fixture in Manchester, she’s now a global name with a knack for high-pressure floor energy. Rounding things out is Tasha, a tastemaker in every sense. Whether through her Neighbourhood label, parties, or radio sets, she’s been blending UK bass roots with Berlin-hardened techno for years, and knows precisely what to do in the booth.

Expect exactly the kind of energy The White Hotel was built to contain – just about.
