Seasoned tour guide Jennifer Little will be getting involved with the Lynchian takeover of HOME this summer in her BSL tour of David Lynch: My Head is Disconnected. As part of the Manchester International Festival, HOME will be hosting the first major UK exhibition of David Lynch’s visual art work in their Gallery Space. As someone who’s become such a modern cultural icon for his work with film, notably Mulholland Drive and the TV show Twin Peaks, Lynch’s background in fine arts can be overlooked. My Head is Disconnected is a collection of his wall-based and sculptural works that, in a similar way to his films, present us with mundane real life through a dark and introspective filter.

As a regular guide leading tours of Manchester Art Gallery, the Portico library as well as other exhibitions at HOME, Jennifer has honed her craft and really gets into the heart of an exhibition. Her tours are lead entirely in British Sign Language (BSL) with no spoken English. Those attending will be welcome to join Jennifer for an informal BSL discussion in the cafe-bar afterwards.
