Having been inspired by the amount of art created in lockdown, from Grayson’s Art Club to online workshops and galleries opening their exhibits to the internet, you may feel ready to take your own artistic practise to the next level and commit to sharpening your skills. ColourWheel Art Classes have been helping people do just that with their online teaching. As we slowly become unlocked, the class is beginning to make the migration to a physical teaching space, providing art classes in Didsbury.

behind every good artist is a solid foundation of technique

Over the course of several weeks, you’ll work with multiple medias, completing studies and full pieces to refine your technique in different areas. It’s a great way to discover new styles of drawing or painting and find the things that work for you. The discipline of fine art can provide you with the tools to fully imagine your ideas, make self expression feel more effortless and less constrained by lack of skill. Behind every good artist is a solid foundation of technique, no matter what that technique may be.

friendly and encouraging with backgrounds in fine art and a passion for pedagogy

The classes will be taking place both online and in the socially distanced setting of Didsbury Golf club. So you can choose where you feel most comfortable learning from. The teachers have been described as friendly and encouraging with backgrounds in fine art and a passion for pedagogy.

You can choose between a four and ten week course with each class taking place on Monday evenings between 7 – 9 pm. The mindful value of creative hobbies can never be underestimated. You can easily lose yourself in the therapeutic process of focusing on a very simple artistic task for a couple of hours. Spaces are limited in the classes to ensure that everyone gets individual attention, so book in advance to avoid disappointment.
