Join Open Source Arts for a chance to fully explore aerial hoop moves for not one but two people. Turn up with a gravity defying friend or collaborate with another artist in the session on the day. Either way you’re sure to create some stunning shapes and have a lot of fun while learning.

The session is led by Jenna Broome and Shannon Gibbons, Jenna is a certified aerial hoop instructor and Shannon a keen aerial artist. Whether you’re a complete beginner, old hand or somewhere in-between, Jenna and Shannon will show you how much fun aerial hoop can be when working with a partner.

Aerial arts are a brilliant alternative workout to your usual dull gym trip. They are creative and sociable workout that doesn’t scrimp on pushing your strength and balance. Aside from the physical benefits, you can do wonders for your self esteem and metal health with aerial arts, achieving postures you never thought possible or just embracing a good old rush of adrenaline and endorphins.

The beginner workshop would be suitable for aerialists with little or no experience with doubles moves. You will be taught some classic aerial hoop doubles moves which are simple yet effective – including a couple of Jenna’s favourite postures. The improvers workshop would better suit aerialists who have a little more experience of doubles moves, and/or strength and confidence in the air.
