A satirical portrayal of the ‘new’ and ‘proper’ middle class – Abigail’s Party will be brought to life on the Skipton Little Theatre stage this April.

The play captures the events of friendly evening neighbours’ drinks at Beverley and Laurence’s place. Erratic Beverley desperately wants to be a perfect hostess, eager to show off her new gadgets and her cocktails. Her husband Laurence is the stressed out estate agent more interested in selling property than impressing new neighbours. The evening is set for an embarrassing and shrewdly observed portrait of suburban existence.
