Are you looking for a family day out in Manchester where you can appreciate nature? After four years of digging, building and planting, the spectacular 154-acre RHS Bridgewater Garden in Salford opened to the public in 2021, and continues to beckon outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.

The outdoor projects and green spaces at the RHS Garden Bridgewater have been designed to improve the environment, while enriching and developing the lives of people in the local community. By combining history and heritage with world-class horticulture, the team at Bridgewater have created garden spaces for everyone to enjoy.

The RHS Garden Bridgewater is packed with outdoor activities for the whole family to get involved with – there is so much to see and experience! Head to the Peel Learning Garden, which is located within the Weston Walled Garden and is a space set up entirely for outdoor learning. It features the ‘Plant Factory’, and promotes a love of gardening and the outdoors in young people.

For the adventurers out there, journey deep into the woods towards the Middle Woods and Woodland Glades. Here, you will find an exciting wild adventure play space hidden between the trees.

After a day of play, walking, and outdoor fun, take a leisurely stroll along the stunning garden paths to the main Welcome Building, where you’ll find a shop and a café with stunning views across the beautiful Moon Bridge Water lake.

There is so much to do at RHS Garden Bridgewater; if you are looking for a safe and beautiful garden space for outdoor play and discovery, we highly recommend you take a visit.
