After a number of years away from the silver screen Finney returned with a vengeance in 1981. By far the most memorable role of that return is that of Dewey Wilson, a retired NYPD cop brought to solve a series of brutal murders. Drawing on native American mythology, Wolfen is a striking eco-thriller that deserves to be much better known than it is.
