The Charlatans Oldham Street Takeover at Piccadilly Records, Manchester 26 May 2017 Entrance is free

To coincide with the release of their new album, Different Days, the Charlatans will take over Oldham Street on Friday 26 May.

Beginning with an exclusive playback of the album, which features the likes of Paul Weller and Johnny Marr, in Koffee Pot, the day continues with a pop-up version of Tim Burgess’ Tim Peaks Diner at 33 Oldham Street, plus an album signing session at Piccadilly Records from midday.

Oxfam Emporium will be selling exclusive T-shirts and prints while other Oldham Street shops such as Magma Books and CASS Art will have postcards, badges and other Charlatans-related goodies up for grabs.

The takeover moves from Oldham Street to The Quays in the afternoon, with free water taxis available to take ticket-holders (and ticket winners) to Tim Peaks Diner, a sold out event culminating in a live set from the Tim Burgess and Mark Collins, at The Lowry.
