The Tetley in Leeds launches its 2020 programme with a new show by an artist from Russia, Taus Makhacheva. The exhibition will explore the traditions of history-making and its encounters with experiences of everyday life.

Instead of taking a nostalgic position, Makhacheva will create stories, characters and even superheroes through a playful process of mixing, borrowing and assimilation. For the first time, the exhibition will bring together new works ranging across performance, video, objects and installation alongside recent collaborative projects by Superhero Sighting Society, The Unbound, and by Makhacheva’s alter-ego, Super Taus.
