For 250 years the Royal Academy has been home to distinctively English fine art, the roll call of academicians resonates with the artistic movers and shakers who through inspiration and intervention have moved our perception of art into a new territory. For RA Takeover Groundbreakers at Salford Museum & Art Gallery, art historian Danny Morrell focuses on some of the groundbreaking artists featured in the Royal Academy Takeover exhibition.
