Interruptions – Special Online Edition – The Holden Gallery
Freya Dooley, Two of One of Three Women’, 2020

22 May 2020 Entrance is free — Visit now

Part of a special online edition of The Holden Gallery‘s ever-popular Interuptions series, ‘Ventriloquy for Radio’ by artist Freya Dooley is a futile performance for bad listeners. The act of ventriloquism is the act of speaking through something: a speaker, a character, an invented extension of the self. In this new sound work, Dooley sits alone in her room, not mastering the art of anything, exploring the possibilities for conversation via polyphonic monologue.

‘Ventriloquy for Radio’ will be broadcast live via the Manchester School of Art Youtube.
