Inimitable and thrilling, internationally renowned dance-circus troupe Motionhouse bring their newest spectacle – Hidden – to Lawrence Batley Theatre. This highly-anticipated world premiere glides into Huddersfield for one exclusive performance on its extensive tour across the UK and Europe.

This visceral show sees stunning dance melt effortlessly into gravity-defying circus.

Using a hypnotic blend of different art forms, Hidden explores the shared human challenges we face – as individuals and as a society – in an increasingly disconnected world. The show celebrates those glimmers of light that emerge from the darkness in times of crisis.

A feast of theatrical magic, Hidden is a breathtaking performance that fuses awe-inspiring choreography and powerful storytelling with illusion-like digital backdrops and evocative soundscapes. This visceral show sees stunning dance melt effortlessly into gravity-defying circus.

This highly-anticipated world premiere glides into Huddersfield for one exclusive performance.

Motionhouse are front-runners in creating productions that meld deft physicality and striking narratives with digital integration and atmospheric audio. Building on the successes of previous productions, including their hit show, Nobody (2021), Hidden sees the company push further into their unique dance-circus style. Always taking their inspiration from shared human experience and our impact and connection to the world in which we live. Previous works by the company have explored the pressure of time, fear and captivity, flooding and our relationship with the Earth.

Of the show, Artistic Director Kevin Finnan told us, “I’m excited about what we’ve created. We are embracing the relationship between dance, digital and circus in a new way for this production, developing our movement language and exploring new innovations in our use of digital technology. Hidden feels quite different from what we’ve done before. I hope it will be a really beautiful show for audiences.”

Make sure you’ve got the best seat in the house when this jaw-dropping and stylish production visits Huddersfield.
