An insanely committed seven-nights-a-week comedy club, Creatures of the Night brings a brilliantly eclectic range of stand-ups to Creatures Comedy Club.

Hosted by, in his own words, ‘gap toothed Canadian Comedian’ Evan Desmarais (@evancomedy on Instagram), this new independent comedy club is driven and committed to making it big.

This is visible not merely through the relentless shows, or the talented hosts, but through the quality of acts they showcase. Up-and-coming comedians to established favourites take the stage in equal measure, with previous acts including Mick Ferry (BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Sky1’s John Bishop’s Only Joking) and Rachel Fairburn (“Very much the rock’n’roll star of British comedy”- Rolling Stone).

Take a look at what’s programmed over the next week or so via the Creatures of the Night website (just hit the ‘book now’ button above). The nights typically runs from 20:30-22:30pm, but timings do vary. Tickets start at a fiver, but if you’re brave enough to sit in the front row, you go free. Not that you need to worry too much — Creatures of the Night has a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and you can expect a safe and welcoming space.

This season, exhibitions across the North West feel attuned to the world beneath the world – the forces and stories shaping how we see, feel and imagine.
