By the late 1960s the institutions of the NHS had become so much a part of British life that they provided the perfect backdrop for the Carry On team’s comedy antics.

In this double bill HOME bring together two of their best loved NHS set films – Carry On Doctor and Carry On Matron – both of which gently poke fun at some of the pressures on the institution.

Screening from 35mm prints, the double bill will be introduced by Dr Lloyd Peters, Senior Lecturer and MA Media Production Programme Leader at University of Salford.
