Now you can quite literally immerse yourself in the master painter’s work. Beyond Van Gogh allows you to experience the paintings like never before, with large-scale, enveloping projections, making you feel like a character right in the middle of the painted scene.

Liverpool is the perfect place to premiere the display, with thousands of tickets already being sold for the four-week run, so grab yours while you can.

On entering, visitors wander through the Introduction Hall where background information about Van Gogh’s life and excerpts from his letters are displayed to provide context for the main event.

The mesmeric quality is enhanced by the changing and flowing images, swimming across walls and floors. Water and stars sparkle, pencil lines swirl and Van Gogh himself may just wink at you from one of the self-portraits. The display uses more than 300 of his pieces along with cutting-edge technology to create the immersive effect, enhanced by a specially curated symphonic score.

For the full sensory experience, you can sign up to some very special yoga sessions on Saturday mornings in the display space. Additionally, merchandise is available, including T-shirts, hoodies, prints and more, while VIP tickets include chosen merchandise as well as fast track entry and flexible arrival times.

Beyond Van Gogh is a great cultural experience for anybody – from Van Gogh fans to lovers of hypnotic installations and families with children of all ages. The presentation is immersive yet relaxing, with a calm soundtrack and a multitude of changing colours that you simply won’t be able to look away from.
