Always double check opening hours with the venue before making a special visit.

Calling people of Leeds and beyond! The city’s favourite African and Caribbean Food Fest is back, and this year it’s turning up the heat with Harmony of Colours, a celebration of cuisine, culture, and community at Kirkgate Market.
Timed alongside Leeds’s West Indian Carnival, this year’s festival is bigger and more delicious than ever. Enjoy a explosion of flavour as over 20 food and drink vendors serve up mouth-watering African and Caribbean dishes, showcasing recipes handed down through generations and cooked with love.
From sizzling jerk chicken to the rich, savoury yumminess of jollof rice, every bite will take your tastebuds on a tropical adventure. We strongly recommend leaving room for dessert: coconut tarts, Jamaican gizzadas, and a rum cake or two awaits… yummy! Wash down this all this tasty food at the pop-up cocktail bar, with cocktails that are as gorgeous in looks as they are in flavour!
Food… food… food… our mouths are watering – but culinary delights are not the only thing this festival has to offer. For starters (like what we did there?) there’s a pop-up Carnival Flash Mob parade, with feathers, music, and some serious rhythm. There’s a fab fun steel-pan orchestra bringing the sunshine, no matter the weather (which could quite possibly be rain and cloud in Leeds…).
Dancers young and old(er) will enjoy the DJs spinning Neo Soul, RnB, and soulful classics, and for the littlest little ones, head to the Mess n Play Zone, with carnival mask making and more.
So whether you love festivals or just looking for something fun and tasty to do with the family this summer, head to the Leeds African and Caribbean Food Fest 2025 and leave with full bellies and happy hearts.
