Heralding from the San Francisco Bay Area, Mario Jose is a seasoned singer-songwriter, powerhouse vocalist and a true entertainer. To the delight of the RNCM students, he will be returning to the college this March to play a show with the RNCM Session Orchestra and Choir.

As a Berklee student, Mario Jose was part of the award-winning a cappella group Pitch Slapped. After graduating, he got a big break on the second season of NBC’s The Sing-Off, followed by a top 40 place on American Idol. On the latter show, he was the favourite contestant of no less than Mariah Carey!

Jose has gone on to share a stage with the likes of Pentatonix, Justin Bieber, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Meghan Trainer, John Legend and many greats besides. After presenting a student masterclass at the RNCM and working with the Pop Choir last year, his return is a highly anticipated one. It also represents the first time that the Session Orchestra have been joined by a guest vocalist.

Supported by Northern Voices, this promises to be an evening filled with fun!
