Things Palace x Mackie Mayor II at Mackie Mayor, Manchester 19 August 2021 Tickets from £40 — Book now

Things Palace takes over Mackie Mayor for a four-course extravaganza hosted by Manchester-based culinary genius, Lorcan Kan. We’ve dined at his events at Isca Wines in Levenshulme in the past (in March last year, just before Covid lockdown swept the nation) and we were blown away by the breadth and depth of flavour on offer. And it’s safe to say this new must-visit dining experience will be the same (minus the harbinger of the world shutting down, hopefully).

An evening of wonderful food, by one of Manchester’s most exciting young chefs

On Thursday 19 August, Lorcan’s culinary project Things Palace sets up in Mackie Mayor to offer a table of seven dishes spread over four courses for a mere £40. The menu takes inspiration from Malaysia and Southeast Asia while putting the focus on English-grown produce. It’s all set to be a far-reaching and sustainable evening of wonderful food, by one of Manchester’s most exciting young chefs.

For drinks, there will be a selection of natural wine by the bottle, beers from Blackjack Brewing Co. and non-alcoholic choices that can be bought on the night. There will be two seatings of 20 guests at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm so simply choose the best time for you then sit back and enjoy a forward-thinking and delicious evening of food and drink.

And if you’re vegetarian, don’t worry, the menu can be tailored to your needs (contact them beforehand to let them know) but do be aware that the menu will contain gluten, soy and dairy.
