Overwhelm is a word which often seems overused these days. However, the sensation comes from the need to reclaim control and feel grounded in reality. It’s something that people often crave. Finding ways to return to a firmly rooted inner equilibrium can help build resilience, self confidence and a sense of belonging. Join holistic therapist Ella Norman for The Undoing, a yoga and energy healing workshop at Yoga Hero, where you’ll press reset on your nervous system and begin to facilitate your own healing.

Over the course of an hour and half, you will begin with an opening gentle floor based flow before transitioning into a full yin yoga sequence. The sessions will then conclude with a twenty minute group energy healing. For those with active minds or who identify as neuro divergent, the option is given to listen to your own headphones or follow a guided visualisation as restorative sessions can be particularly challenging.

You should find that the session eases any muscle tension you may be experiencing, and brings a sense of calm and clarity to your thoughts. It also works with your meridians and chakras of the body (different energy centres), to aid with the process of inner healing. If however you’re just looking for a place to abandon the worries and pressures of day to day life and be held in relaxation, this session is perfect for you.

Ella is an experienced yoga teacher who aims to make her sessions accessible to those with different bodies and abilities as well as consciously offering adjustments to the session with adhd, autism and mental health conditions in mind. The Undoing workshop is beginner friendly so don’t feel like you need to be a slim, bendy, leggings clad yoga nut to get the most out of it. Yoga is for everyone, everybody and every mind.
