Get your head in the game with a guided tour of the National Football Museum. As one of the city’s most popular attractions, they’ve been attracting larger crowds year on year and with the combination of sports, arts and history in their collection you can understand why. Whether you are a football follower or not it is a fascinating place to visit.

The exhibitions are spread across three levels and on the tour you’ll delve deeper into the context behind the first floor’s collection of almost sacred memorabilia and artefacts. As you make your way through the chronological timeline of the game’s incarnation, with balls from those first significant matches to the shirts of modern legends, you’ll hear the full version of the stories and scandals that have shaped English football to become the most popular sport in the world.

Whether you are a football follower or not it is a fascinating place to visit.

Tours run daily at 11 am, 1 pm and 2 pm and last around 45 minutes. Those with a Manchester postcode can access free admission to both the museum and tours.
