Pride Place in Leeds is hosting an evening of queer joy, gaming and good times this July. Whether you’re a solo gamer looking to make friends and meet new people or you’re part of a close knit long form campaign gaming group looking to open up, there will be plenty on the table for you to get involved in. It’s a relaxed, sociable and sober environment for people to unwind, feel safe and have fun in.

Hosted by experienced facilitators Scarlot and Fran, players are welcomed to bring their own games or dip into the wealth of table top fun on offer at Pride Place. The night is open to everyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community and your hosts will be making sure there’s a place for everyone within the games. Games are a great way to make friends within a social environment that’s structured around having fun with minimal pressure. Often it can be more fun to get to know strangers over a good game rather than locking competitive horns with your best mates.

Throughout the evening there will be an expertly picked selection of non-alcoholic drinks and snacks available on a donation basis, with all proceeds going towards the space being able to host future events, community groups and more good vibes!

Pride Place is Leeds’ premier community centre for LGBTQ+ organising in the city centre. Located within a short walk from both bus and train stations, it’s a place where groups can meet, organise, socialise and feel safe expressing their queer identities. Be sure to check out their website to learn more about their regular events, socials and how their spaces can be booked for community organising purposes. You can often find exhibitions and performances from queer artists living and working in Leeds there.
