Returning to Manchester following a sold-out performance at The Wonder Inn earlier in the year, American wanderer Julie Byrne brings her vivid travel tales to Band on the Wall this time.

Byrne began travelling across her native land at the age of 18, spending time living in cities large and small. This period inspired tracks on her second and most recent album, Not Even Happiness, evoking scenes of bustling roadside diners, the stars over the desert and the wildflowers of the California coast.

Expect to be drawn in by Byrne’s intimate, whispered manner and simple instrumentation, which allows her lyrics time and space to breath.
