Here and Now: a tour of The Whitworth art gallery through music and art at The Whitworth, Manchester 17 May 2018 Tickets from £6.50 — Book now

New music ensemble Psappha will lead an audience through The Whitworth to enjoy four new pieces inspired by the gallery’s collection.

Stopping off at artworks incorporating film, photography and animation by Joshua Frankel and Evelyn Hofer, among others, the two-hour-long tour will also feature compositions by Judd Greenstein, Michael Gandolfi and David Fennessy.

They will be performed by Psappha’s musicians, alongside the world premieres of new works by Will Frampton, Dani Howard, David John Roche and Bethan Morgan-Williams.

Placing visual art and music side by side, this one-off event is a chance to look at The Whitworth’s collection with new eyes.

This event is part of Manchester After Hours 2018.
