Hanna Hartman: Secret Security at HCMF

Secret Security is a piece of music theatre, in Hanna Hartman’s own small way. It’s choreographed, but not for people. Written for electronics and office supplies, Hartman’s objects are the performers, dancing within the boundaries of hand-drawn shapes – wonky squares and imperfect circles, projected onto a cramped screen. Given uncannily human qualities, these objects become characters with their own personalities and relationships.
