Crossing Borders Journeys Festival International Manchester at The Whitworth, Manchester 4 — 13 October 2018 Entrance is free

Crossing Borders is an outdoor installation created by artist Matilda Glen to shed light on the continued suffering of refugees across Europe. This artwork is informed by Matilda’s volunteer work with refugees in Calais and Paris, and shares how different this experience was from the news reports she was receiving in the UK. The work explores the hardships endured by displaced people and uses the power of art and storytelling to challenge media reporting of the current refugee crisis.
