CeReNeM Talk: Cat Hope at University of Huddersfield, Huddersfield, 19 November 2019, free entry

Australian composer Cat Hope discusses the evolution of her work with the Decibel ScorePlayer, a unique music notation programme that produces animated scores presented across tablet computers. Her talk will culminate in a presentation of excerpts from her opera, Speechless, which premiered at the Perth Festival earlier this year. With an innovative approach to timbre, dynamics, and a fluid, pulseless sense of rhythm, Hope has been called ‘one of Australia’s most exciting and individual creative voices’.

The talk is presented by the Centre for Research in New Music (CeReNeM) as part of its ’Speculations in Sound’ international research network.
