One of the key highlights of each festival, the BCB 2017 AWARD commands centre-stage at the historic Spode Factory (a site of ceramic production since 1776), showcasing the very best in established talent. Selected through an open call, this year’s exhibition will feature ten artists working with clay, whose work responds to the vast setting of the factory’s China Hall; ranging from large-scale installations through to intimate displays. The overall winner will be announced during the festival, receiving a £5,000 prize, sponsored by local industry titan Johnson Tiles.
