Competition: WIN a handwoven bike basket from Godspeed

Stevie Mackenzie-Smith

If beautiful, handmade bicycle accessories are up your street then you’re in luck. Godspeed is giving away a handwoven bicycle basket to one Creative Tourist reader.

We’re always excited to hear about new start-ups in the North. There are Manchester-based magazines Intern and Tusk, both of whom we’ve watched with a keen interest as they develop from new kids on the block to purveyors of beautiful print. In Sheffield we love B&B Gallery, a new addition to the city’s arts scene with collaborations between local artists at the heart of its ethos.

Joining the roster of young creatives based in our neck of the woods is Godspeed, a Salford-based online shop specialising in aesthetically pleasing bicycle goods. Founded last Autumn by Anna Brennan, a Falmouth photography graduate, Godspeed is all about walnut wood handlebars, handwoven bike baskets, biciband pedal straps and plenty of cycle-themed prints from illustrators Sam Brewster, Ruby Taylor and Harriet Seed. It goes without saying, then, that we have the joneses for Godspeed in big way.

Godspeed is kindly offering one Creative Tourist reader a handsome bicycle basket. Each basket is unique, handwoven from elephant grass and comes personalised with the name of the weaver. No two baskets are the same – and you can pick whichever you damn well fancy.

To enter, all you have to need to do is enter your details below. The winner will be picked at random on Wednesday 5th February.
