Competition: WIN tickets to a Bio-Historic Banquet at Manchester Museum

Polly Checkland Harding

Win tickets to a six course banquet by Robert Owen Brown, presented between the exhibits at Manchester Museum.

If you went to Mary-Ellen McTague’s High Tea in Wonderland as part of MIF15, you’ll know that Manchester Museum is an incredible setting to eat in. Now, there’s another chance to dine with (and beneath) the exhibits: Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2015 is holding a Bio-Historic Banquet (Saturday 12 September, 6.30pm) beneath the museum’s lengthy sperm whale skeleton, in collaboration with the Biospheric Studio. That’s six courses, beautifully-prepared by acclaimed chef Robert Owen Brown and inspired by objects in the collection.

Tickets are usually £50 each, but luckily for you, we’re giving away a pair for free

The menu will be interspersed with talks from the museum’s curators, and made from ultra-local produce. For instance, guests’ pre-dinner mojitos will include mint grown in the aquaponics installation at the heart of the museum’s new space, The Study. Tickets are usually £50 each, but luckily for you, we’re giving away a pair for free: enter your details in the form below to be in with a chance of winning. The competition closes at 10am on Wednesday 9 September – good luck!

We have another Manchester Food and Drink competition: enter here to WIN tickets to a gourmet tour of Chinatown.

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

Terms and Conditions: The winner will be the first correct entry selected at random from all correct entries received. No purchase necessary. No cash alternative given. Employees of Creative Tourist, Manchester Food and Drink Festival or associated companies are not eligible to enter. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified as soon as possible after the closing date. Only one entry per person. We apologise for the fact we are unable to post prizes outside of the UK. Entrants will automatically be added to the Creative Tourist mailing list – don’t worry, we never share data and we promise not to bombard you with endless emails. The offer for a pair of tickets to the Bio-Historic Banquet at Manchester Museum on Saturday 12 September at 6.30pm (value £50 per ticket). Closing date: 10am, Wednesday 9 September.
