Manchester Literature Festival: Poetry & Medicine Workshop

Susie Stubbs

A workshop for poetry newcomers and aficionados alike – one that breaks down the walls between the arts and the sciences.

Poetry and medicine: an unlikely combination? Discuss poetry by patients and staff worldwide that moves, surprises and “opens the windows” between medicine and the arts. Poetry newcomers welcome. The event will be chaired by Caroline Hawkridge, writer-in-residence at the National Aspergillosis Centre. Part of Manchester Literature Festival. Manchester Museum, Kanaris Lecture Theatre, The University of Manchester, Oxford Road, M13 9PL, 10am-12pm, Saturday 12 October, free but booking advised.
