Art/Science Exchange: Nature’s Library Cell Science

Susie Stubbs

A participatory science/art exchange workshop where you can respond to cellular research in the context of the Nature’s Library at Manchester Museum.

“When you have seen one ant, one bird, one tree, you have not seen them all,” is a quote by American biologist Edward P.O. Wilson. It epitomises the ethos of the new Nature’s Library gallery at Manchester Museum, packed full of weird and wonderful natural history exhibits. In this event, researchers from the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell-Matrix Research, in partnership with the Whitworth Art Gallery, lead a participatory workshop that merges both art and science, all in the setting of the Nature’s Library gallery. This is a one-off, unique fusion of art and science – expect scientific thinking and a creative response. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
